Install a LUT on the Lumix S9 — the right way

What you need

A LookCraft Lumix LUT as a .cube from a current pack, a Lumix S9 with current firmware and an SD card. Real-Time LUTs run through MY PHOTO STYLE — you see the look in the EVF and save JPEG/HEIF with color straight out of camera.

• LookCraft .cube file from the ZIP
• Lumix S9 (S5II / GH7 work the same way)
• SD card or LUMIX Lab / Sync app
• Optional: second MY PHOTO STYLE slot for a night LUT

Step 1: get the .cube onto the camera

Unzip after purchase. Copy the .cube to the SD card folder Panasonic expects for LUT import — or send it via LUMIX Lab / Lumix Sync from your phone.

Tip: keep filenames short and without special characters (for example S9-Portrait-Skin.cube).

Step 2: load the LUT into MY PHOTO STYLE

In-camera: Menu → Recording → MY PHOTO STYLE → choose LUT → Import. Pick your .cube and assign a free slot — for example C1 Portrait Skin (day), C2 München Neon (night).

Panasonic often shows the filename as the look name. Save the slot before swapping cards.

Step 3: enable V-Log L + LUT

LookCraft Real-Time LUTs are optimized for V-Log L. Set the picture profile to V-Log L and enable MY PHOTO STYLE with your imported LUT. The look appears in the viewfinder immediately.

If the image stays grey: LUT slot inactive or profile not V-Log L. If it feels too strong: change the light — Portrait Skin for sun, Analog Europe for grey, München Neon for LEDs.

Everyday S9 setup

Save JPEG + RAW when you want headroom later. For travel, JPEG with LUT is often enough. Two slots cover 90% of situations: warm daylight and one night LUT.

• C1 = Portrait Skin (sun, portrait, travel)
• C2 = München Neon (night)
• Optional C3 = Analog Europe (grey, reportage)
• RAW in parallel for prints or mixed light
