Why daylight LUTs fall apart at night
Skin-Natural-Daylight and Europe-Summer-Print are built for sun. Under LED and signs they pull skin green or magenta, and shadows turn mushy.
Night needs its own cubes: different highlight rolloffs, different handling of neon and tungsten. That is what the Munich Neon Pack is for.
Blue hour: Munich-Blue-Hour
Sky not black yet, windows already warm. Blue-Hour keeps residual blue without shoving the scene into teal-and-orange cliché.
Strength often 45–60%. Full 100% only when the sky still has drawing.
Tungsten and city yellow: Munich-Tungsten
Old street lamps, tavern, station hall. Tungsten takes the warmth and keeps shadows cooler instead of dunking everything in butter.
Good next to a second Night-Natural slot in case the next street is suddenly LED.
Wet and signs: Neon-Rain and Red-Sign
Munich-Neon-Rain is the look for wet asphalt, reflections, subway exits. Magenta in the lights, green in the depths — on purpose, not by accident.
Munich-Red-Sign when a sign or a train should carry the color. Not on portraits at 100% — use Skin-City-Night from the Portrait Skin Pack for that.
The quiet default: Munich-Night-Natural
When you are unsure which night LUT. Night-Natural also ships in the Starter Pack. Less style, more readability. For reportage when Neon-Rain would be too much film.
One slot Night-Natural, one slot Neon-Rain: decide in the viewfinder, not at the computer.
Slot plan for an evening in the city
Three slots, then walk. White balance on auto or a fixed Kelvin around 4000–4500 — do not retune on every corner.
- C1: Munich-Night-Natural — uncertain streets, mixed light
- C2: Munich-Blue-Hour or Tungsten — depending on sky and lamps
- C3: Munich-Neon-Rain — wet, neon, courage

FAQ
Which night LUT first on Lumix?
Munich-Night-Natural. It forgives mixed light and ships in the Munich Neon Pack and the Starter Pack.
Does Munich Neon only work in Munich?
No. The looks are built for European city night — lamps, subway, signs, wet asphalt. Not for tropical mega-neon.
LUT on V-Log at night?
Only with Panasonic Color Space Transform first. Otherwise the cube sits on the log signal and the lights run wrong.
